Neesha Ridley, an experienced midwife who offers birth trauma support to families o

Hello

Hello, my name is Neesha Ridley. I am a registered midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Council in the UK. I hold an MSc in midwifery and women’s health, with a particular interest in perinatal mental health and birth trauma. With over twenty years’ experience as a registered midwife in the UK, combined with senior roles in maternity safety, quality improvement, education and women’s health, I offer a calm, knowledgeable and compassionate space for you to explore your birth experience. My passion for supporting families comes from years of listening to women’s stories, witnessing their strength, and recognising how powerful it can be when someone finally feels heard, understood and supported.

I provide specialist, independent and tailored support to help families make sense of their birth journey or their pregnancy experience. I am not a mental health therapist and this service does not replace mental health support. However, I have completed the Birth Trauma Training Programme and use this knowledge, combined with my 20 years of experience, to listen to you, interpret clinical records, explain maternity care in clear and accessible language, and help you to understand what happened and why.

My aim is to support you, offer space for reflection, provide clarity through my expertise as a midwife, former NHS leader and expert witness, and empower you with knowledge. In addition to supporting individuals and families, I work with NHS organisations, maternity care providers, and educational institutions, providing professional consultancy services across all aspects of perinatal care.

What I can offer you
